Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I have been traveling so much that I did not do too much for easter decorating this year. Easter was going to be at the parents house anyway so my place did not need to be ready to entertain.

However, I did have a couple of items to check off! Months ago I had seen these bunnies at a thrift store and thought they would be perfect for easter after they were spray painted! They went from this:

to this with alittle white spray paint!

For the visit to my parents place for easter lunch, I was inspired by my fantastic friend Kelly to make cake pops! Bakerella is a genius  - and now her new book gives so many ideas to make these great treats! Being that it was my first time, I kept it simple. Chocolate Cake, with chocolate frosting and then vanilla candy coating.

And my cute niece giving her best model look with the finished product!

Lake Tahoe

Five years ago B took me out on our first date, and shortly thereafter he asked me to go to Tahoe. So  - this past weekend we celebrated 5 years of fun with another trip to Tahoe. Since he hurt his foot, we could not do too much but I still went out to play while he stayed at the casinos! I cross country skiied fo two days. It was HOT the first day - got to 50 and I actually got sunburned on my arms, the second day I meant to go to heavenly but with the high winds it was half closed, so I just went cross country skiing again!

Tahoe got just a alittle bit of snow..

Not me....but some people were out scuba diving. I want to do this someday but not in Winter!

New Toy.......first DSLR!

This past week I finally bought a new camera! I have been wanting one for so long, but waiting until I felt better about spending that much! After much research and debate, I decided on the Nikon 3100. It is an entry level DSLR, so you can do more sophiticated photography but also can just use it as a point and shoot with a guide. The cameras above this got really expensive, and if I get more into photography I may go there - but for now this one leaves me much to learn! Wahoo!

Colorado Adventures!

Oh yeah, I have a blog! Maybe I should write on it.... :) The good news is that I have had many adventures in the weeks since I last posted so I will start there. My house has been completely neglected, but I am finding that sometimes I want to be at home and other times all I want to do is get out and have adventures. As you will see, I am in adventure mode :)

First trip several weeks ago was to Colorado. I was there for work anyway, so I stayed the weekend. A friend of mine that used to live in AZ is there and helped to plan a fantastic weekend! She is super outdoorsy. I feared being about to keep up but mangaed to stay standing.

We stayed in Breckenridge and snowshoed the first day 8 miles, then the second day cross country skiied. Here are some of the beautiful pics!
